Kim and Ryan exchanged their vows in the back yard of Ryan’s parents’ beautiful Bozeman residence. I LOVE backyard weddings for so many reasons, and this beautiful wedding will shows you all of them. Charm, comfort, laid back feel… And just about any Montana wedding is sure to have beautiful landscapes, warm and friendly guests, and of course hand crafted beers. Kim and Ryan’s love for beer was a big part of their relationship. Going out for a beer always led to hours of conversation, and they wanted to incorporate the same feel for their wedding. With their very own beer bar featuring three of their favorite microbrews on tap, hops for boutonnieres, old beer bottles for table decorations, and custom beer cups gifted to guests, Kim and Ryan’s beer-inspired wedding not only encouraged conversation and party vibes but led to hours of dancing and celebrating. It was so fun hanging out with these two throughout their big day. They’re so kind and genuine and just a perfect fit.

Gibson Park in Great Falls, Montana made the perfect backdrop for Chafaye and Cole’s intimate summer wedding. A morning of preparation and excited anticipation set the tone for a day of sweet moments and meaningful embraces between Chafaye and Cole and their wedding guests. And of course, their special day ended with delicious cake and a full dance floor.

Carrie and Bobby’s intimate Montana elopement was the perfect reminder that choosing your forever partner is what we’re celebrating on a wedding day. Sometimes weddings become more about putting on a show or having the perfect this or that, and while those things are fun, I loved how Carrie and Bobby simply focused on each other. Definitely the smallest wedding I’ve ever photographed (I was even one of the witnesses!), just Carrie and Bobby, their two neighbors and Bobby’s son showed up on a Thursday morning in June to celebrate commitment, love, and new beginnings.

The cutest moment (besides every moment with the adorable Bo) was when Carrie rang a bell, letting Bobby know she was on her way to become his wife. A small lunch and cake cutting followed the ceremony along with some family pictures just up the road at the beautiful and one-of-a-kind Feather Pipe Ranch in Colorado Gulch.

Lindsay and Troy chose the lovely 4-R Ranch in Helena, Montana to exchange vows on a bright and beautiful June morning. As a part of their intimate ceremony in a small grove of aspens they planted a tree to symbolize the roots they were planting together as husband and wife. I am usually brought to tears when I’m shooting a ceremony, but this one hit me in a different way. I cherish the moments I have with my clients when they share personal pieces of their lives with me, so knowing Lindsay’s and Troy’s beautiful story made this occasion that much more meaningful.
